Outside of my work in education, I enjoy engaging in my community in a number of additional ways. I have numerous family roles such as husband, father, uncle, and son; I am an avid cyclist, whether that be finding new routes with other members of Sudbury Cyclists, or more intense training for my annual participation in the Pan-Mass Challenge. This will be my 10th year as a Pan-Mass Challenge rider having raised $76,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I enjoy being a Mystery Reader in the classrooms of my 5 and 7 year old children at Haynes, and coaching Sudbury Youth Soccer. I am a has-been hockey player, a want-to-be woodworker, a beginning birder, and a backyard rink builder. I enjoy gardening with my family, hosting spontaneous neighborhood gatherings, and Max & Leo's Pizza night. My most cherished moments are together with any number of our 20 cousins, siblings, and nieces/nephews who live in the Boston area. Admittedly, we all vie for the adoration and approval of our Matriarch Grandmother who, at the age of 98, continues to exemplify grace, wit, and personal growth.
My wife and I and our two children moved to Sudbury nearly three years ago. We came for the outdoor space and the opportunity to join a smaller community, and have been amazed at each turn to experience the generosity and pride of our Sudbury neighbors.
